Primary is over!

By Brook Curtiss, on May 19, 2012

After months of waiting and working hard, we pulled 20% of the total vote in the 2012 Primary Election for District 41 -- We'll Take It!

We've got a little more than 5 more months to convince 7,191 other voters in this District that Brook is the fiscal and social conservative to represent the wishes of the people of District 41.

We've got a long summer of events and visits planned, as well as Republican conventions, County Fairs, Town Celebrations, Parades and the whole works. Make plans to be a volunteer and send an e-mail with your willingness to help!

LB599 Cost Estimates

By Brook Curtiss, on Apr 17, 2012

Get the real story - and the FULL story about the costs and who's covered. Please read all the paragraphs.
$2.8 million in costs for 1,162 women - 1,000 illegals and 162 either incarcerated or unable to qualify for Medicaid, yet also unable to afford regular insurance.  That's less than $2,500 per woman per birth - this program covers conception to birth. That's not even close to the actual cost - our two children cost the better part of $10,000 for the care we desired.

Updates on the last few weeks.

March was a super-busy month for the Curtiss campaign! We visited with the Lions Club in Neligh, helped out at the Plainview Community Club tournament, visited the Ord Chamber of Commerce, the Albion Chamber meeting, attended Plainview's Legislative Day in Lincoln, the Boone County Farm show, a fish fry in Loup City, a steak feed in St. Edward, Osmond's Legion pancake feed, the Public Power board in Wayne and was interviewed by Farm Bureau's regional board.

By Brook Curtiss, on Feb 3, 2012

We're down to the ground working hard! Visited Pierce's main street and businesses today, hit about 85% of those that were open on this rainy Friday. We'll be back for the rest in the near future!
